Terminal and facility identifiers
MSC-provided terminal names, UN/LOCODEs, SMDG codes, BIC codes, and FIRMS codes stay with the event. The shared terminal-name map fills known FIRMS-code gaps.

Does MSC tracking include terminal FIRMS codes?
When MSC supplies a FIRMS code, Melrose shows it. If MSC supplies only a recognized terminal name, Melrose may match it to the corresponding FIRMS code. Unrecognized terminal names remain visible without an invented code.
How current is the MSC tracking result?
The page shows when the result was fetched. Recent results are saved briefly so repeat lookups return faster; Melrose requests a fresh carrier update when the saved result gets old.
